Translating the Jobport application, tests and reports

While Dutch is currently the only officially supported language, it is possible to translate the application, tests and report into other languages using translation tools. Read on below for more information.

Jobport is careful when it comes to providing reliable and up-to-date information. However, we cannot guarantee that the translations are always complete and error-free. Jobport is not responsible for the quality of the translations, so no rights can be derived from them.

Translating the application

The application currently does not officially support languages ​​other than Dutch. However, in most browsers it is possible to enable (automatic) website translations.

Read below how this works for Firefox, Chrome, Edge and Safari.

Firefox

If you use Firefox, you can use the built-in functionality for website translations.

Depending on the default language of Firefox, it automatically suggests to translate jobport.nl. If this message doesn't pop up, click on the translation icon on the right in the toolbar, or open the menu (three lines in the upper right corner) and choose Translate page. Then choose the desired language and click on Translate.

Google Chrome

If you use Chrome as your default browser, you can use the built-in translation functionality, based on Google Translate.

Depending on the default language of Chrome, it automatically suggests to translate jobport.nl. Click on the desired language to have Jobport automatically translated by Chrome.

If you don't get a message, click on the translation icon on the right in the address bar, or right-click somewhere on the page and choose Translate to [language].

No Translate icon in the address bar? Open the menu (three dots in the top right corner) and choose Translate. Then choose the desired language and click Translate again.

Microsoft Edge

If you use Edge as your default browser, you can use the built-in translation functionality, based on Microsoft Translator.

When you go to a web page in Microsoft Edge that is written in a foreign language, you will automatically be asked if you want to translate the page. This is similar to other browsers. Select the desired language and click Translate.

If the message doesn't pop up, click the translation icon on the right in the toolbar, or open the menu (three dots in the upper right corner) and select Languages. Then select the desired language and click Translate.

Safari

When you go to a web page in Safari that is written in a foreign language, you can translate the page by clicking the Translate icon in the URL bar. The page can be translated in Safari via the drop-down menu. Click on the preferred language to translate the page:

​Translating tests

The availible tests are supplied by different (third party) suppliers. Depending on this, tests are (or are not) available in other languages then Dutch.

Read below how this works for Jobport tests, Ixly tests and L&D Support tests.

Jobport tests

For the questionnaire of Jobport tests we use Typeform. This partner makes it possible to fill out our tests in a nice and clear way. Automatic translations are available for these tests. These were partly created by Jobport with the AI-​​tools from Typform and OpenAI.

Functie analyse is part of the Jobport application and can be translated via the (automatic) website translation function of the browser.

As soon as the test starts, the option to translate the test appears at the top of the screen. Click on Translate/Translate to translate the test:

This message is automatically displayed based on the browser's default language. See the Read More links for the specific browser under Translating the application in the above section for more information on how to set/change the default language.

Ixly tests

Unfortunately, Ixly tests in other languages than Dutch ​​are currently not available in Jobport.

L&D Support testen

The language of the L&D Support tests, consisting of the Veerkracht & Groei (Resilience & Growth) SmartScan and FullScan, can be adjusted from the test itself. To do this, click on the drop-down at the top right and choose the desired language.

L&D Support tests can be translated via the drop-down.

L&D tests are available in:

Take tests together with your coach

Not able to get it to work? Maybe discuss whether it is possible to take the test together with your coach. From the professional login (Coach) the test can be started via the candidate dossier with the option 'Maak test samen met kandidaat' (Take test together with candidate).

Translating reports

Reports are generated into .pdf files. These can be translated afterwards using tools.

Using the Google Translate website, you can translate the report of a completed test into a language other than Dutch. Upload the document and download the translation directly. Translate document with Google Translate
